TMA was created and organized in July 2001 to be a supplier of high quality, cost effective transaxles to meet the needs of customers who manufacture vehicles used in a wide range of applications in the lawn and garden and recreational markets. TMA can produce transaxles to our customer’s designs and specifications or we have the ability to create designs and manufacture them to meet the customer’s needs.
Erection of the factory and office started in March 2002 taking occupancy on October 18, 2002.
Production started on our first model of the Utility Vehicle transaxle in April 2003 with production of the 2nd model in September 2003. We began working 2nd shift employees in November 2003 in order to meet increased production requirements from our customer for Utility Vehicle transaxles. The 3rd and final model of the Utility Vehicle transaxle began on June 28, 2004.
Production of the Compact Utility Tractor transaxle began in November 2004. Additional employees were hired to support this line and meet production requirements for this product. A new model of the UT transaxle started production in December 2005. As of January 2007, our employee numbers have increased to 102 full time employees.
